Hello and warm greetings!

I’m George Lopez — a proud father, grandfather, devoted husband, and military veteran. Originally from the beautiful country of Belize, I now call Chesapeake, Virginia home. I have the honor of serving as President of Pickleball WorldClass, a nonprofit organization with a mission deeply rooted in service, unity, and community.

My journey with pickleball began over five years ago, and I’ve loved every minute of it. Beyond playing, I’m a certified instructor specializing in beginner-level classes, and for nearly a year I’ve had the privilege of teaching monthly sessions through Chesapeake Parks and Recreation. What I enjoy most is connecting with people, sharing the joy of the game, and building lasting relationships on and off the court.

Pickleball WorldClass was founded to make a real difference — especially for distressed children, veterans, and their families. Our goal is to make pickleball accessible to everyone while building stronger, healthier communities through programs that uplift, empower, and unite. We are committed to bringing pickleball to schools, community organizations, and veteran programs as a tool for wellness, connection, and inclusion.

Each month, we host a Pickleball Tournament, along with FREE Open Play and Instructional Sessions, welcoming players of all skill levels. These monthly gatherings promote fitness, friendship, and meaningful community connection.

This Valentine’s Day, we invite you to celebrate the love of the game and the heart of our community!
