Pacific Island Knowledge 2 Action Resources was started in 2015 by Susi Feltch-Malohifo'ou, Simi Poteki, and Cencira Te'o out of a shared love and concern for the Pacific Island community in Utah. This team of passionate community members banded together and used their combined skillset, knowledge, and connection to the community to build up a foundation that has been first and foremost about serving the needs of the Pacific Island community.

The organization's roots are in Domestic and Sexual Violence education and advocacy, which is housed in the Empowered Living Services programming. PIK2AR is presently the only Pacific Islander organization in the state of Utah that caters to these specific issues and offers around the clock, 24-7, no barriers resources which includes our Community Health Workers and Case Managers who are available at all times of the day to our clients to offer confidential, culturally relevant aid that is catered to fit the needs of each and every family or individual who seeks or is referred to our organization. Our Empowered Living Services program has helped many receive monetary support, employment, housing security, and other social services, all at no cost with our clients dictacting the path we take.

Outside of our Empowered Living Services, PIK2AR offers opportunities and support in other areas of interest, such as Arts & Culture with Pasifika Enriching Arts of Utah, Utah Pacific Island Film Series, Masima Film Tour, and Utah Pacific Island Heritage Month, and Economic Development with the Pacific Island Chamber of Commerce. All of PIK2AR's programming aims to benefit the overall health and wellness of the community. Through the efforts of our staff and volunteers, PIK2AR has become a place for not just our Pacific Island community, but for all marginalized communities who have historically been excluded. PIK2AR meets people where they're at and helps them get to where they want to be.

This year for Giving Tuesday, PIK2AR's goal is $10,000 which will go towards sustaining and furthering our organization-wide efforts to empower our community members through education, opportunities, and genuine connection.
