Mistake My Hand revels in the slow power of water and its potential for massive impact: violent or beautiful.

Luka, Marizó and Daviel have been collaborators for years. We work within a larger community of collaborating artists across Los Angeles and Arizona. Our practices interweave with emphasis on shifting roles from project to project to inspire unforeseen results. This project was born from the combination of Siller's editing and direction, Shy's poem, and Fisher's music: combining into a composition created without a plan, reliant on our total aesthetic trust, play, and support of one another's creative process.

The Institute for Experimental Arts has invited us to participate in the12th International Video Poetry Festival, one of the largest video poetry festivals in the world, held at the Theater Empros in Athens, Greece.

Film is expensive and times are hard, and there is very little incentive to continuing to create experimental work, but getting invited to this festival has felt like an acknowledgement of our persistence. Broadening our creative community in Greece would provide ongoing benefits to bolster our individual and collective practices. And we will come back with beautiful new films!
