What is it?

Gifts From the Heart is an online auction that arose from two things: our love for all the amazing businesses and makers in our North Shore community, and the grant freeze challenges the Violence Prevention Center has been facing.

Why though?

The state grants that fund shelters and DV organizations like ours have not been increased in 8 years, yet our community’s need for services continues to grow; especially for legal services, security cameras, and food and gas assistance. If the funding freeze continues 🥶, it could really jeopardize the work we are able to do for victims and survivors of violence in our community.

Where did it all come from? 🎁💖

Everything up for auction was lovingly donated by our North Shore community of businesses and makers, and we have been blown away by the response!

Where does it all go?

All proceeds from Gifts From the Heart go directly to support the Violence Prevention Center and our important work.
