Ten years ago, the Africa Global Chamber of Commerce (AGCC) was founded with a simple mission: to open doors for small business owners, immigrants, and young entrepreneurs in Chicago who needed opportunities to grow.

On December 6, 2025, the African Global Chamber of Commerce (AGCC) celebrates a decade of connecting African businesses to global markets.

AGCC has helped hundreds of local entrepreneurs—from African hair braiders on the South Side to small restaurant owners and startup founders—gain access to training, mentorship, and funding.

Through initiatives such as the African Small Business Expo, Tech Thursdays, Access to Capital, US-African Youth Leadership Fellowship, Global Women in Finance Laading Summit, Africa Speakers Series, African Diaspora Investment Summit, and International Trade and Investment Conference Programs, we have supported business registration, provided consulting and advisory services, assisted with business licensing, offered capacity building through training programs, facilated access to local and global contract opportunities, and facilitated the closing of multi-billion deals in the US and Africa. Our primary focus is to establish distribution centers across the United States, bringing more African food and non-food products to U.S. consumers, and increasing U.S. innovation and technology exports to African markets.
