The DSA Orchestra / Band Performance & Scholarship Fund supports our talented students by helping to create unique and diverse performing opportunities for the orchestra and band programs --here in our local community, across the U.S., and in historic venues around the world.

Performing in as many settings as possible is integral to our students’ musical education. Your generous support will open possibilities for our students to explore and share the beauty of the classical repertoire with a broad range of audiences and enhance our artistic excellence. You'll help make possible:

Community Outreach Concerts for Underserved Communities: Underwriting support for transportation and other concert expenses will allow our Orchestra and Band students to reach underserved populations in the Denver area, creating pathways to the magic and joy of live performance for those who could not otherwise attend.
National Exposure and Participation: Funds will enable our participation in national music conferences and competitions, so that our students can make connections, spark new ideas, and elevate their artistry through exposure to other orchestra programs.
International Travel Enrichment: We aspire to make regular international performance opportunities accessible for all our band and orchestra students regardless of financial circumstances. With scholarship assistance available, we help ensure that every student is given the chance during their time at DSA to embark on a journey-of-a-lifetime with their peers, expanding their perspective through full immersion in the rich musical and cultural history of our world.

THE DSA FULL ORCHESTRA ON TOUR, SPRING 2024

Rome, Florence, and Venice

Last spring, our talented band and orchestra students embarked on a nine-day trip to Italy, experiencing the rich culture of Rome, Florence, and Venice while showcasing their talents in historic performance venues as DSA musical ambassadors. This exciting collaboration between the band and orchestra programs is just one example of what these funds can make possible!

This was really important to me as it has allowed me to enjoy the culture and scenery of Italy while also being able to play concerts with the orchestra.
