George Marks is a Louisiana-based visual artist and co-founder of the NUNU Arts and Culture Collective, a creative hub in Arnaudville dedicated to fostering collaboration, cultural exchange, and community building. For over two decades, his work as both an artist and cultural organizer has centered on the idea that art is not just an object, but a living conversation that connects people, place, and story.

As part of this vision, NUNU is launching a new initiative: a monthly online auction showcasing the work of artists who are part of the collective. The goal is simple but powerful — to give artists broader visibility and create new opportunities for collectors to engage directly with their work, while at the same time supporting NUNU’s nonprofit mission.

To inaugurate the series, Marks is offering vintage works from his private studio archive. These rare, early works carry both artistic and historical weight, offering collectors a glimpse into the evolution of his career and the chance to own part of a personal reserve that has never before been made widely available.

George’s work can also be found beyond NUNU: he is represented by Ann Connelly Fine Art in Baton Rouge, Claire Elizabeth Gallery in New Orleans, and Judy Ferrara Gallery in Three Oaks, Michigan. His paintings and mixed-media works are included in numerous private collections, as well as the permanent collection of the LSU Museum of Art.
