Hello Friends,

We are thrilled to update you on the impactful work of Street Cred Education Consultants. Founded by Dara, Thaisan, and Molly, our mission is to support adolescents facing challenges like dropping out of school, gang involvement, and other risky behaviors. With firsthand experience of school dropout, criminality, and incarceration, Dara and Thaisan bring a unique perspective to our efforts.

Thanks to your generous contributions, we are now operational and making a significant difference in young lives. We are excited to introduce our latest initiatives: 1) The "Learning for Life 2024-2025" program, designed to enrich the lives of 8th and 9th-grade boys in Annapolis, MD. This program aims to ensure these young men complete 8th grade, graduate high school, and plan for successful futures. 2) Professional Development for teachers, principals, and community leaders - nationwide. We are developing professional development opportunities to support school leaders in understanding and meeting the needs of youth at risk of school dropout and involvement with the juvenile justice system.

Featuring crochet items crafted by incarcerated men (See link below to article written by Street Cred Ed's newest consultant K. Tauch), these pieces symbolize their journey of healing and restitution. If you purchase an item but do NOT want to receive the crochet item, we have partnered with The Light House in Annapolis, MD. Since 1989, The Light House has provided emergency shelter, transitional housing, homelessness prevention, and related services to people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness in Anne Arundel County. We are happy to deliver your item to children at The Light House for you. You can be sure the item will be well-loved by a child in need.
