Unfortunately, many families are unable to keep up with rising costs…including school meals. The sad reality is that, more often than one would think, school meals are the only meals some children get.

Hunger changes how a child's brain and body grow and affects thinking, learning, and behavior. When a child isworried about where his or her next meal comes from, s/he can’t possibly be expected to care about academics.
