“Where will I sleep tonight?” It’s a question that resonates deeply with anyone who has ever faced homelessness. My name is Kim Valentine, and at just 14 years old, I found myself grappling with this uncertainty. Though my own circumstances have improved since then, the memory of those nights has never left me.

Driven by empathy and a desire to make a difference, I founded Operation Helping Hands. As a mother of three, I’m committed not only to assisting the homeless but also to educating my children about the importance of empathy and social responsibility.

Operation Helping Hands is more than just a nonprofit organization; it’s a beacon of hope for those in need. We provide essential hygiene and necessity items to homeless individuals across Southern California, all while engaging local youth in meaningful community service.

In addition to our outreach efforts, we’re proud to introduce our scholarship program. We provide housing insecure students with $1,000 per month toward their rent, enabling them to focus on finishing their education without the burden of housing instability.
