Literary Agents of Change is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to expanding the agenting profession and publishing in general by supporting aspiring and rising agents from historically underrepresented groups. We do this through two programs:

Our year-long mentorship program pairs mentees at the start of their agenting careers with two experienced agents for one-on-one mentoring over the course of a year. The program has served nearly 30 mentees over two years, and we have 14 more about to begin year three. Last year we instituted a $500 Business Development Grant for all mentees.

Our ten-week summer fellowship program pairs six college students with host agencies to learn about the role of literary agents and the inner workings of the industry. Fellows receive direct support from their host agencies, access to our slate of programming, including networking opportunities and educational panels. All fellows are awarded a $6,000 grant designed to allow them to focus fully on this vocational experience.

We’re excited to continue and expand support for our mission through our first Literary Auction for Change! Bidding begins on June 12 and ends on June 18, and will feature offerings from literary agents, editors, and authors! Register in advance for easy bidding and reminders!
