People for Pets is a nonprofit animal shelter with one simple mission: to save lives, four paws at a time. Every animal that comes to us—whether they are a stray wandering the streets, a beloved pet surrendered by an owner who can no longer care for them, or an animal abandoned with nowhere else to go—deserves a chance at safety, love, and a future.

From the moment they arrive, each pet is treated like family. We provide the essentials—veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter services, nutritious food, and safe shelter—but we go beyond that. Every dog and cat is given comfort, kindness, and the reassurance that they matter. For many, this may be the first time they have truly felt loved.

Each year, hundreds of animals find hope through People for Pets. Some stay with us at the shelter, while others are welcomed into the homes of our incredible foster families. Our team of dedicated staff, passionate volunteers, and generous community supporters all play a role in giving these animals their second chance.
