Who is Local Nature Lab?

We are a passionate grassroots environmental nonprofit in New York City, founded by Georgia Silvera Seamans. Our mission has been described as "support[ing] multi-species awareness and design in NYC."

We collaborate with individuals, groups, and various organizations to create and implement enriching nature education programs for New Yorkers of all ages. Our primary focus lies on the study and appreciation of trees and birds. Our programs happen in parks, schools, artist studios, after school programs, and more. Our initiatives are funded through the generosity of individual donors--people like you--and supplemented by grants.

You Can Help

Our annual fundraising event provides a unique opportunity for you to contribute through donations or to participate in bidding on incredible items to support our mission. You can choose to do both!

Here's what to do:

Give: You can donate even without signing up. You'll know exactly what your donation is helping with.
Sign Up: Register to start bidding.
Bid: The auction starts on November 19, 2024, 12:00 am EST and closes on December 18, 2024, 11:45 pm EST. Check back often!
Tell Others: Tell your friends and family about the fundraiser. The auction items would make wonderful holiday gifts.
Celebrate: After the auction, we’ll announce winners. We will also thank our direct donors.
