About The Loop Lab

For 7 years, we have passionately worked to bridge the opportunity gap between underrepresented communities and the media arts world. With your invaluable support, we have evolved from a neighborhood-based initiative into a multi-community champion for social justice, significantly expanding our influence and steadfastly advancing equity, diversity, and careers in the AV and media arts sectors.

This exclusive evening is more than a celebration; it’s a movement towards greater diversity and equity in the media arts and audio/video industries. It is also our way to honor our incredible partners who have played a vital role in advancing this mission!

Hosts for the Night

Our evening will be co-hosted by the dynamic duo Kwani Lunis, award-winning journalist and host on NBC10 Boston, and Lee Hill, award-winning managing editor for GBH News.

The Dream Award

We are thrilled to announce the inaugural Dream Award, created to celebrate exceptional achievements in advancing our mission.

This year, for our very first celebration of this distinguished honor, we are delighted to recognize our incredible partner and Cambridge Representative, Marjorie Decker.

Her connection to The Loop Lab is personal and long-standing. Having known Founder and Executive Director Christopher Hope for 20 years, Marjorie has been a strong supporter of the organization since its inception. She recognizes The Loop Lab for its impact on providing career training and opportunities for young adults of color in Cambridge and Greater Boston, helping integrate them into the high-tech ecosystem while nurturing their artistic talents. Marjorie’s advocacy for The Loop Lab reflects her deep commitment to empowering underrepresented communities.

We will have captivating performances from the acclaimed conductor and violinist Alyssa Wang and the celebrated poet and multidisciplinary artist Letta Neely.

Funds raised through this event will enable us to implement best practices in our transformative programs: Media Arts Apprenticeship Program, and High School Pre-Apprenticeship Program. Your support will directly benefit opportunity youth, unlocking their potential for successful careers in media arts.

Your contribution will also enhance the capacity of our in-house production agency, Loop Lab Studio, empowering us to produce more impactful media and amplify marginalized voices.
