Decades ago, my late spouse, Dr. Robert Kohlenberg, and I discovered that when we met our clients with full humanity—sharing vulnerability and reflecting their best selves instead of trying to “fix” them—profound healing unfolded. From those moments, Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) was born, revealing the transformative power of awareness, courage, and love.

We realized this healing shouldn’t be limited to therapy rooms. It belongs to everyone.
Thus began the Awareness, Courage & Love Global Project, now uniting hearts in 68 countries across six continents.

Together, our community is building a worldwide movement to reduce loneliness, nurture belonging, rediscover what makes us most alive, and live our purpose in ways that strengthen our shared humanity.
