The Problem: More cats end up in shelters than there are people going to shelters to adopt. 65 of the 111 animal shelters in Indiana reported euthanizing 6,543 animals. 3 out of 4 animals killed are feline. That means over 4,800 cats & kittens were killed last year simply because no one showed up at the shelter to adopt them.

The Goal: To facilitate more cat adoptions, reduce shelter intake and to end unnecessary euthanasia of cats due to homelessness.

The Solution: Alternative locations for adoption, more availability of low cost/free spay/neuter services & more education to the public..

The Latest Trend: Cat cafes have proliferated in the United States in recent years. At Namaste Cat Café our cause is led by a collective of experienced business people and managers with restaurant experience. What we are seeking is start-up capital.

Our Plan: To open a cat cafe in Hamilton County. Namaste Cat Café will sell superior food and beverages in a comfortable and convenient, highly populated location, allowing people to interact with adoptable cats in a comfortable lounge setting. Donations & a percentage of profits will go toward initiatives that will increase adoption rates & provide access to low-cost or free veterinary care for those in need.
