Ken Block built more than cars and videos. He built a culture.

From rally stages and Gymkhana films to Hoonigan and the brands he helped shape, Ken believed in surrounding himself with talented people who had passion, creativity, and the willingness to work harder than anyone else in the room. Many of those people started as kids with cameras, sketchbooks, toolboxes, or big ideas but no clear way into the industry. Ken gave them a shot before anyone else would.

43 Institute exists to continue that legacy.

The foundation was created by the Block family to support the next generation of what Ken called “motivated misfits”. These are young people who are obsessed with motorsports, action sports, vehicle design, filmmaking, photography, engineering, and creative storytelling but often lack the resources, connections, or mentorship needed to turn that passion into a career.

Through grants, mentorship, equipment support, and direct connections to industry leaders, 43 Institute helps talented individuals take their first real step into the worlds Ken helped build.

We believe opportunity changes lives. One introduction. One piece of equipment. One chance to prove yourself.

Ken built a network of athletes, creatives, builders, engineers, and entrepreneurs over decades. 43 Institute exists to open that network to the next generation and make sure the culture he helped create continues to grow.

Every donation helps us fund scholarships, support emerging talent, and create real opportunities for the next generation of drivers, builders, creators, and innovators.

Because somewhere right now there is another motivated misfit who just needs someone to believe in them.
