Music, Mentorship, and the People Who Make It Possible

Join us on May 13, 2026 at The Lotos Club in New York City for an evening celebrating music, mentorship, and community. This year's Musical Mentors Collaborative Spring Gala honors the people who make our work possible: our Musical Mentors.

Musical Mentors are more than music teachers. They are consistent, caring adults who show up week after week to guide, encourage, and inspire the young musicians they work with. Through group classes and private music lessons, they build relationships that help students grow not only as musicians but as confident and curious young people.

For many of the students we serve, access to high-quality music education - and the mentorship that often accompanies it - has been limited or out of reach. Through our programs, Musical Mentors provide both. They teach technique, creativity, and discipline, while also offering encouragement, perspective, and a trusted presence in a student's life.

Music becomes the starting point for something deeper: a relationship rooted in trust, curiosity, and growth.

Across classrooms, community spaces, and online lessons, our mentors help students discover their musical voices while developing the confidence and resilience that come from sustained mentorship. Their dedication creates the supportive community that defines Musical Mentors Collaborative.

This special evening will feature performances by students, Musical Mentors, and special artists:

The entire program will reflect the creativity, collaboration, and curiosity that inspire our programs. Together, we will celebrate the mentors who make this work possible and raise support to ensure that our students continue to have access to meaningful music education and mentorship in the years ahead.
