The Movers and Shakers Ball is Saint Louis Dance Theatre's largest annual fundraising event, and serves as a celebratory kickoff for the company's 2024-2025 (RE)Imagine Season. All proceeds from this event will benefit the company’s growth and programming, in the effort to mark St. Louis as a world-class arts destination. The company plans to reach greater heights with support from the community in the following ways:

CREATIVE JUSTICE

Solidifying our place as a home for artists spanning the cultural and global fabric of dance. Our 2024-2025 choreographers with varying artistic experiences and influences informing their respective creative processes, will bring our audiences into a conversation and an experience with vastly different movement vocabularies and enthralling approaches to storytelling. It’s a season to breathe new life into our work, and to showcase the courage it takes to reimagine together.

PAY EQUITY

The investment in artists' livelihoods to define our next generations' culture and humanity. Funding supports the Dancers' Living Wage Fund to provide a liveable wage for artists on a 39-week season, off-season artistic employment opportunities, and comprehensive wellness benefits to help them reach their full potential.

Embracing the power of art in multidisciplinary platforms, showcasing the catalytic possibilities of a region on the verge of becoming the fullness of its excellence.
