Southern hospitality is a way of life at NUNU Arts and Culture Collective in Arnaudville, Louisiana, with its talented community of musicians, visual artists, craftsmen/craftswomen, quilters and writers. With that Southern hospitality in mind, NUNU Arts and Culture Collective has started a campaign to fund the installation of a cottage onto our premises. This cottage that was generously donated by a NUNU member will be a unique guest house, a place of welcome and comfort, for travelers who wish to experience the arts and culture surrounding this creative community. Patrons can donate directly and receive an (optional) gift or bid on four immersive experiences. These experiences include three art workshops - a cyanotype workshop, a pottery workshop and a sign making workshop - and one all-inclusive, creative weekend sojourn (Friday-Sunday) for two people that includes a painting workshop with celebrated Louisiana artist Lisa Di Stefano and her assistant/studio mate, George Marks. Amenities included in the weekend sojourn include a gourmet dinner and breakfast, local craft beer, artisan made soap, a gift basket filled with goodies, reflexology services and of course, art activities provided by NUNU members. We welcome donors interested in the immersive experiences to bid high and often, so we can create a space of welcome and rest for visitors to our community.
