Today, the financial hardship families must endure while simultaneously dealing with the physical and emotional challenges of cancer can be a lot on their shoulders. Vickie's Angel Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit since 2007, was founded by Mickey Minnich to help those families in the fight with cancer. In some cases, the financial burden is immediate for non-medical expenses like rent/mortgage payments, utilities bills, food, car expenses and other essential expenses. The money raised does not go towards research, but instead, all donations stay in Central Pennsylvania and go to families for temporary support for those basic necessities. To date, VAF donors have raised over $5.500,000.

Over the past twenty-two years, Mickey Minnich have seen the impact on our community by all who have compassionately helped us to ease the financial burdens caused by cancer. Mickey's thanks to all of you for joining with him as the "Beacon of Hope" for the families that VAF serve in nine counties. Our light shines brightly as together we help families in critical times of need.
