The core of MTCX non-profit is the continuation of the proven and longstanding programs and events started by MTCX LLC under Shaun Radley. Programming is the foundation for youth development. The hosting of local events provides a safe and healthy environment for youth/adults to test themselves, build confidence, and establish community role models. Regional and national level events contribute to the competitive development of local youth/adult athletes and solidify Missoula as an outdoor sports mecca. In short, the programming and events are the cornerstones which guide the organization toward its vision.

To support all members of our community in their desire to enjoy time spent recreating outdoors. We enable and promote personal growth, camaraderie, and confidence through outdoor sports, events, and programs.

In order to carry out this mission, the nonprofit corporation will:

Lead in hosting events and programs to support athletes of all ages and abilities.
Foster a community of cyclists and skiers with shared passions for sport, competition, and camaraderie.
Support Missoula youth in finding joy in cycling and skiing through teamwork and adventure.

Our non-profit transition

The events and programs put on by MTCX over the last 20+ years have grown a community. The new MTCX Events and Programs non-profit aims to continue bringing people together and fostering personal growth by continuing these same opportunities and the traditions they’ve started. We believe the MTCX events provide an important environment to bring people together, promote healthy competitive spirit, and showcase Missoula as an outdoor sports mecca. We also believe in programming as a foundation for youth sports development. Coupled with events, programs provide a safe space for youth to test themselves, build confidence, and develop community role models.

Our mission:

To support all members of our community in their desire to enjoy time spent recreating outdoors. MTCX Events and Programs enables and promotes personal growth, camaraderie, and confidence through outdoor sports, events, and programs.

In order to carry out this mission, we will:

Lead in hosting events and programs to support athletes of all ages and abilities.
Foster a community of cyclists and skiers with shared passions for sport, competition, and camaraderie.
