💜 Our Story: Building My Haven

Every child deserves a place where they can just be themselves — where the lights aren’t too bright, the sounds aren’t too loud, and every smile feels like home.

My Haven was born from that dream — a dream to build a sensory-friendly indoor playground and community space for children and young adults with special needs right here in Reno, Nevada.

As parents of a child with unique needs, we know how hard it can be to find safe spaces that truly understand. We’ve walked into places where our child felt overwhelmed or left out. We’ve seen other families quietly pack up and leave, hearts heavy because there wasn’t a space built with their child in mind.

We decided to change that.

💜 My Haven will be the first of its kind in our area — a vibrant, welcoming space designed for sensory exploration, play, and connection. It will include:

A safe indoor playground with sensory-friendly zones for kids on the spectrum
Quiet rooms for families who need a calm moment
A caregiver lounge to connect and recharge
Inclusive programming and events that bring our community together
