The Woman Boxes and Period Dignity Initiative exists to respond to period poverty with dignity, education, and care.

Across the United States, women and girls miss school, work, and community life because they lack access to menstrual products and reproductive health education. Period poverty affects physical health, emotional well-being, confidence, and opportunity. Public assistance programmes rarely cover menstrual supplies, leaving families to choose between food, utilities, and basic hygiene.

Rooted in Wisdom created the Woman Boxes to meet this need directly.

Each Woman Box is a holistic care package designed to support the whole woman. Boxes include menstrual products, feminine hygiene supplies, and supportive wellness items. Each box is paired with educational resources focused on menstrual health, body literacy, and self-advocacy. This initiative ensures women and girls receive both tangible support and knowledge.

The Woman Boxes are part of The ReMembering programme, our community education and care initiative rooted in faith, cultural knowledge, and reproductive wellness. Through this work, we support young girls, adolescents, and adult women in understanding their bodies, caring for their health, and living with dignity.

Funds raised through this campaign will be used to purchase menstrual and hygiene products, assemble Woman Boxes, support community distributions, and provide education through workshops, youth programmes, and partner organisations.

This campaign allows immediate impact while supporting a broader vision of restoration, education, and community care.
