Join us in supporting Tyrone Fulgham as he embarks on a remarkable journey of resilience and determination. Tyrone, an avid runner and an inspiration to many, faced a life-altering accident that took his right leg and broke his left leg. In September 2021 Tyrone was hit by an uninsured drunk driver while out jogging in preparation to qualify for the Boston Marathon.

For Tyrone, running was more than just a hobby—it was a passion, and a lifeline. It was also a way for him to honor his late daughter's memory and raise awareness for Friedreich Ataxia, a disease she bravely battled. "Running is like breathing to me," Tyrone would often say, embodying the sheer dedication and love he had for the sport.

Last year we learned that Tyrone will need a new prosthetic every 5 years. And that a new prosthetic will cost between $50,000 to 100,000! He also discovered health insurace will not cover them!

Despite the pain and ongoing health challenges, Tyrone is working again and has found a new way to compete! Last fall he participated in his first race as a hand cyclist. And his new goal is to race in the Boston marathon as a hand cyclist.
