Hi, I'm Desmond Williams, and I want to tell you about a really special place called Next Step Clubhouse. It's been a huge part of my life, and I've made some incredible friends and had so many fun times there. For almost ten years, Next Step Clubhouse has been helping people like me, who have Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, right here in Charlotte, North Carolina. It’s a place where I feel safe, happy, and like I truly belong.
At Next Step Clubhouse, I get to do so many cool things. We have programs every day that help me stay healthy, learn new skills, and just hang out with my friends. It's awesome because I can connect with other people who understand what I'm going through, and we really support each other. My family also loves it because they know I'm in a good place, and it gives them a break too.
We're Growing, and I Need Your Help!
We are moving to a brand-new space at Providence Baptist Church, and it's fantastic! It's bigger and easier to get around, which means even more people can join our community. This move is a really big deal for us because it means we can do even more fun activities and welcome more friends.
Once we have settled in to our new space we are going to have an awesome Housewarming Celebration. I would love it if you and all of my supporters could join us to celebrate and see our amazing new Clubhouse!
