New York Theatre Barn is a non-profit theatre company that serves as a home for new culture shifting musicals during incubation. We have been incubating original musicals since 2007. Our track record proves the core of what we do:

During our past 16th season, we have showcased the development of 15 new musicals. Since pivoting to hybrid programming during the pandemic, we have produced 51 installments of our virtual and in-person New Works Series series: showcasing 103 Original Musicals, created by 194 Writers, featuring 627 Artists, with over a million views on our YouTube channel. Since the Choreography Lab’s inception, we have produced 36 Labs and have served: 100 choreographers, 57 musical theatre writers, and thousands of dancers. We have made musical theatre development the most accessible that it’s ever been both for artists and audiences.

We are celebrating our 16th Anniversary by raising $20,000 to ensure that we can showcase more musicals of tomorrow, today! In addition to purchasing a ticket to attend our Gala fundraiser on Monday, November 13 through TicketSpice, consider bidding on one of our many auction items from now until 9 PM EST on the evening of our Gala. Your donation, regardless of the amount, makes an instant impact in our work. For example:

$25 pays for monthly upkeep of our streaming services.

$100 pays for essential supplies, such as printed scripts, for each show produced through the New Works Series.

$250 pays for a few hours of rehearsal space on behalf of the choreographers affiliated with the Choreography Lab.

$500 pays for a day of studio time for a Theatre Barn Records album.

$1000 pays for the rent on our performance spaces.
