Funds raised at Off the Clock 2026 will support our Joan Suarez Director's Fund, established by our late Founder Emeritus Joan to support new work that tells the history of the labor movement and the stories of working people. The Joan Suarez Director's Fund has previously supported new play commissions such as 1877, The Caregiving Proejct and A Brick and Bible.

Founded in 2015 by labor organizer Joan Suarez, Bread and Roses Missouri celebrates the lives of workers and their families through arts and humanities events. Funds raised at Off the Clock will support our Workers' Theatre Project, producing exciting work that elevates the voices and concerns of working class people, and our Youth Initiative, providing quality arts instruction that also helps youth learn to be changemakers in their community.
