Your favorite online gay Yeshiva, Shel Maala, is SO PROUD AND EXCITED to announce the inauguration of our first ever Art Auction Fundraiser!! We’ve called on members of our community who have any artistic talents at all - weaving, painting, commissions, songs, poetry, zines, jewlery, judaica - to see if they wanna donate them this effort to raise the money that will help Shel Maala grow and thrive.

Here on our GiveButter auction page, people can bid on the work of talented Shel Maalaniks any time before May 6th, and the highest bidder gets it. This money will go toward our Yeshiva’s work to teach new trans Torah, create a platform for asynchronous classes, provide scholarships to all who desire to learn regardless of need, and more.

Shel Maala is an online-first Queer yeshiva and ALL of our classes are pay what you can, forever. Because of this, we depend DEEPLY on your support to keep this Torah going and pay everyone who makes it happen a fair amount for their labor. On top of that, as a normatively anti-Zionist space, we have a huge hurdle in seeking funding from mainstream Jewish sources, which means we doubly depend on our community to sustain us. That's why this Pesax season, we're holding this art auction!

Below you'll find a multitude of arts, crafts and services donated by generous Shel Maala-niks. For those purchasing the art - this is a win/win. You’ll get the gay Jewish craftwork of your dreams, and you get to help sustain the gay Yeshiva that you love. You can bid on any and every piece you want here up until May1st. Each and every piece here is already a treasure, but on top of that your donation will keep the glittery Torah flowing!
