Meet the Watercolorist: Kathy Teichmiller of Zoe’s Art

Kathy is a huge animal lover, and donated these beautiful watercolor works of art to OAHS to help the animals in our care.

Kathy was born and raised in Oshkosh. Throughout her childhood she spent her summers inspired by her aunt who helped her tap into her artistic talents. In college Kathy majored in biology and took several art classes. For several years Kathy painted beautiful animal portraits. When Kathy retired, her focus turned to watercolors and inks.

Kathy continues painting on a weekly basis at the Oshkosh Senior Center. Kathy has studied art with local artists Sue Spanbauer and Joy Moon and is a member of the Rural Rembrandt Art Club in Wautoma. Several of Kathy’s paintings have been entered into the Wisconsin Regional Artist Program contest and have gone on to be displayed in Madison.

At Oshkosh Area Humane Society, we are guided by compassion in all we do, from saving the lives of homeless pets by providing the highest quality medical care, nutrition, exercise and socialization in a safe shelter environment, to connecting adopters with their best possible pet match, to reuniting lost pets with their families, to providing behavioral counseling for pet retention, low-cost vaccine and microchip clinics, emergency services and a pet food pantry to keep pets and people happy and healthy together.
