Welcome to Jungle Pottery Studio!

Nestled in the heart of Lower Puna, the Jungle Pottery Studio is an exciting, soon-to-be-launched initiative as part of the Seaview Performing Arts Center for Education (SPACE). This new studio will provide a creative space for community members to explore and develop their pottery skills.

For over 30 years, SPACE has been a cornerstone of the Lower Puna community. Established in 2008, it has evolved into a vibrant educational hub offering a wide range of classes in the arts, performance, agriculture, aerial arts, yoga, and more. The Jungle Pottery Studio will be the latest addition to this growing network of programs, further enriching the community's cultural landscape.

Thanks to the generous Kilauea Recovery Grant from from the County of Hawaii, we were able to make essential repairs to our facility over the past year. This grant also helped us expand our community arts programs, including the development of the pottery studio. In 2024, with support from the community, we were able to purchase a new kiln to fire the work created in the studio. However, additional equipment is still needed to fully equip the space, including pottery wheels, glazes, clay, and pottery tools.
