Congratulations! You have successfully registered for the Pound Ridge Proud Day Bake- Off . We’re really excited that you are participating and are eager to see what your imagination comes up with!

Below are a few steps to follow to successfully submit your tasty treat.

Step One: CREATE

Decide what you want to bake. Tempt the judges! And START Baking! You will be baking two: one to be tasted, the other one for visual judging that will later be auctioned off.

Step Two: CAPTURE

Once you have your baked good(s) perfected, take a photo (or as many photos as you wish). The VISUAL criteria is judged by your photo, as well as your whole submission for the Raffle. Photo suggestion: Take the time to stage your masterpiece (choose a beautiful plate, add some flowers...) to present it in the best light possible. Show it off!

Step Three: SAFETY CHECK

For the safety of our judges, individual servings must be wrapped.

• Cookies: Wrap 12 Individual Servings

• Cakes: Slice 12 Individual Servings then Wrap them in: parchment paper, foil, wax paper or plastic wrap

• Pies: Slice 12 Individual Servings then Wrap them in: parchment paper, foil, wax paper or plastic wrap

Practicing good hygiene: washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before, during/after preparing your tasty treats, and before wrapping. Disinfecting utensils, cutting boards, countertops and cooking surfaces is always a must.

Step Four: COMPETE!

Drop-Off 9:00am June 13 at the Bake-off table in the Green, next to 67 Westchester Avenue. Stay for Group Photo of Bakers at 9:30.

Drop-offs must include:

1) Photo(s) of the baked good(s)

2) Printed recipe

3) 12 Individually wrapped pieces for judging

4) Whole submission for the Raffle

JUDGING CRITERIA
Entries will be judged on taste/ingredients, texture and visual presentation.

• TASTE (10 points): flavor, properly sweetened, tender, aroma, extra points for healthy ingredients

• TEXTURE (10 points): creamy, crunchy, flaky, melts in your mouth

• VISUAL (10 points): This is determined by your submission for the Raffle
