What is Meal Auction?

In its 41st year, Breen-Phillips Hall has been raising money for Meals on Wheels through the annual Meal Auction. Meal Auction provides the opportunity to win, not only auction prizes, but also meals and experiences with campus celebrities. This year, we are honored to have participation from several campus celebrities, including iconic professors like Father Pete, our ND legend head women's basketball coach Niele Ivey, and beloved Babe Priest, Father Chase. Auction items include signed Rudy posters, a night's stay at the Morris Inn or a local Airbnb, an Irish Woodworks original Notre Dame stadium bench bottle opener, and so much more!

How can I win items and meals?

Two ways:

1) Silent Auction - Browse our catalog and make bids using this virtual auction platform. You are encouraged to stop by Hagerty Family Cafe between 2:00pm and 7:00pm on April 4th to see all our wonderful offerings in-person. We will notify you if you are a lucky winner, and your payment to the BP PayPal will be donated directly to Meals on Wheels. Auction items will be available to bid on until approximately 10:00pm EDT.

2) Raffle - Join us in Hagerty Family Cafe on April 4th between 2:00pm and 6:30pm to purchase raffle tickets for the baskets of your dreams. All raffle purchasing/drawing will take place in-person, but you can still take a look at our raffle options on this website. Raffle winners will be drawn at 6:30 pm.

What is Meals on Wheels?

Meals on Wheels, REAL Services, and their team of generous volunteers deliver meals in St. Joseph and Elkhart counties to our neighbors of 60 years of age or older who can neither prepare adequate meals for themselves nor have meals prepared for them. This program serves thousands in our community in great need, and it is essential in providing nourishment—helping clients to remain healthy, reducing hospital stays, promoting faster healing, and supplying essential companionship. Over 160,000 meals are delivered annually to the St. Joseph and Elkhart counties.
