America SCORES Chicago inspires youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. We build teams of Poet-Athletes, young people who express themselves creatively, improve their writing skills, and learn to think critically on and off the field. They build healthy bodies, minds, and communities through the vehicles of soccer, poetry, and service-learning provided through daily after school programming.

Celebrate National Poetry Month with us and be inspired by our Poet-Athletes!

The Red Carpet Poetry Slam is our signature poetry event highlighting the original works of our 3rd - 8th grade Poet-Athletes. After being selected in the Fall at our Community Poetry Slam, these Poet-Athletes spend months writing and rehearsing their poems, with their hard work culminating in the RCPS. The Watch Party is an opportunity for friends of SCORES to gather and enjoy delicious food and drinks, participate in a raffle and exciting live auction, see exclusive poetry performances before they are shared with an external audience - all while celebrating our incredible Poet-Athletes.
