Join ReClaim Madison Salvage & Thrift in its fourth annual Upcycle Art Auction, a community event to support Madison County's Community Housing Coalition (CHC). This year, the Madison County Arts Council will host the auction from April 18 to 27, marking a new collaboration in promoting reuse, creativity, and community service.

Reducing landfill waste by repurposing useful items into art not only aids environmental conservation but also serves community interests. Diverting items from landfills decreases environmental pollutants and
conserves space, which is essential in battling the global waste management crisis. Communities benefit
directly from these initiatives, as repurposed goods provide affordable options for essential items, reducing overall living costs.

The auction will start with an opening reception on April 18, allowing in-person bidding through April
27 at 2 pm, complemented by online bidding options available from April 19 to 27. The event features a wide range of artworks, all original upcycled pieces created by local artists and community members.

CHC has advocated for affordable housing in Madison County for over two decades, assisting
more than 100 households annually with urgent home repairs and rehabilitation. ReClaim Madison
Salvage & Thrift, a pivotal part of CHC efforts, promotes local economic sustainability and community engagement while providing essential resources for critical home repair.

Reclaim Madison is a social enterprise of Community Housing Coalition of Madison County. Just 2 miles from Downtown Marshall, customers will find a well-curated inventory of salvage building materials, used furniture and appliances. All proceeds from Reclaim Madison sales directly support CHC home repair programs.
