Our Founder

Shirley Xavier is the proud founder of YE Foundation. She is a multi-passionate thought leader, networking coach, and solar broker with over 20 years of combined experience in sales, investing, and retail fashion management. Born and raised in Brooklyn and Queens, New York, Shirley's Caribbean heritage infuses vibrancy and resilience into her work.

Our Why

Shirley traveled to Haiti with the dream of building a hospital in honor of her late mother, Yvonne Etienne. However, she found that the infrastructure was not ready for such a project. The streets were filled with pockets of burning trash, causing significant health risks and poor living conditions. Witnessing this environmental crisis firsthand, she was inspired to create YE (Yvonne Etienne) Foundation.

Our Inspiration

The core of YE Foundation is the enduring legacy of our founder’s mother, whose homeland was Haiti. Yvonne was a certified Master Chef and a compassionate home health aide who dedicated her life to caring for others. Her spirit of service and selflessness inspires our mission to create lasting change. Her tireless dedication to helping others has profoundly shaped our commitment to transforming lives and communities worldwide.
