An afternoon of curated eats by Slate Catering Co. accompanied with a host bar paired with a silent and live auction supported by Honorary guests speakers. Every dollar that we raise goes back into our community and provides scholarships for swim lessons. Here is our 'Why': - Drowning is the Leading Cause of Accidental Death in the U.S. for Ages 4 & Under and the 2nd Leading Cause of Accidental Death in the U.S. for Ages 14 & Under (CDC). - Lower socioeconomic status is associated with higher risk of drowning (WHO). - Participation in formal swim lessons reduces the risk of drowning by 88% (National Institute of Health, Arch Pediatric Adolescent Med, 2009). Let's bring the community together and uplift those who need it the most. Safety first! Note: This is an adult event only. <br> Carpinteria Women's Club, 1059 Vallecito Rd, Carpinteria, CA 93013, USA
