What is a ROCK-A-THON?!
It's where we stop doom-scrolling, and start creating! Join Blue Bear for the month of May, as we spend time practicing our art and asking our friends to sponsor us in support of Blue Bear's non-profit outreach programs.

Beginning May 5, we will commit to "Rocking!", which is thoughtfully immersing ourselves in art at least 20 times during the month of May. (1x/day, 5 days/week for 4 weeks).

How can you be a part of it?
Join in and become a ROCKER! You can pick any sort of art, and practice in any way.
Being creative ROCKS! You can. . .
. . . Practice your musical instrument (you know you've been meaning to.)
. . . Write (anything. . . song lyrics, poetry, your screenplay or novel.)
. . . Dance (to live music, at Zumba class or alone in your kitchen!)
. . . Create visual art (paint a mural, sketch a picture of your dog, take photos in the park, get creative!)
. . . Learn (take part of Dr. Savage's class, Music, Culture and Ideas)
. . . Appreciate (Revisit your favorite album from high school. Does it still hold up? Listen to some deep tracks from your favorite artist. What makes them different from the top hits?)
. . . Make something up! Just commit to enriching your life through creativity for 20 hours during the month of May.

How does this benefit Blue Bear?
Rockers will ask their friends, families and fans to sponsor them for every hour practiced.
- 50¢ per hour is a $10 donation to Blue Bear
- $1 per hour is a $20 donation to Blue Bear
- $5 per hour is a $100 donation to Blue Bear
And on and on and on!

All proceeds directly benefit Blue Bear's outreach programs, and help us to bring high-quality FREE music education to underserved kids throughout San Francisco. Through these programs, our students gain confidence, find joy, and create greater community.
