Why This Day Matters

This is more than a race.
More than wiffle ball.
More than a fun Saturday.

This is a day where kids with MPS1 get to feel normal.
Where families who usually feel alone find people who understand.
Where our community shows up and says—you’re not fighting this by yourself.

MPS1 is a rare, progressive disease that affects every part of the body.

We’ve watched it take mobility.
We’ve watched it cause pain.
We’ve sat in hospital rooms more times than we can count.

But we’ve also seen something stronger:

Hope.

Because of people like you, families from across the country are here this weekend.
Because of people like you, we’re funding research, improving quality of life, and pushing toward a cure.

Today is free.
But it’s not free to make it happen.
