On the night of October 20, 2023, the Timraz family’s life was shattered by a devastating airstrike in Gaza. Their home — a four-story building — was destroyed in an instant, leaving behind only dust, rubble, and grief.

Karim Timraz, a father of four, lived in Gaza with his wife and children: Amr (now 14), Youssef (now 11), and twin boys Adam and Mohammed, who just turned 3 on July 2, 2025. That night, as bombs fell, Karim and his family experienced unimaginable chaos.

Amid the collapse of their home, he fought to find and protect his children, who screamed in fear as the building crumbled around them.

Tragically, many of their loved ones did not survive. Karim’s elderly parents, his younger brother, his brother’s wife and children, and his sister and her children were all lost in the destruction. Their absence is a daily wound, a harsh reminder of the war’s unforgiving toll.

For 70 days following the bombing, the surviving members of the Timraz family lived in a makeshift tent outside a nearby hospital. Surrounded by the sounds of ongoing attacks and the constant threat of further violence, Karim struggled to keep his children safe and fed.

As conditions in Gaza worsened, the family made the difficult decision to try to escape. But the cost of leaving — including transportation, shelter, and essential supplies — is far beyond what they can afford on their own.

That’s why this campaign was created: to raise as much as we can to help the Timraz family live in Gaza and rebuild their lives somewhere safe, where the children can grow up free from fear.
