UPDATE:

Dear contributors,

THANK YOU ALL for donating and contributing to our ‘Save Bula’ silent auction and fundraising campaign. We appreciate you all so much and are overwhelmed with gratitude for all of you that make up our beloved Bula community.

However, it is with a heavy heart that we need to announce that Bula Kids Daycare has had to close permanently. While we had a hugely successful fundraising event and campaign, the obstacles were just too great to get us through the Summer and Fall.

We are all heartbroken. Bula was truly a magical place and we hope our kids will carry that Bula spirit with them forever.

Although the money from this fundraiser will not save Bula, it will help immensely with the closing costs of the daycare and supporting our wonderful Bula teachers as they navigate finding new jobs after the sudden closure.

Dear Bula families and community,

As you may know, our beloved Bula Kids Daycare has recently been closed due to some administrative issues with the landlord, which set in motion an inspection and a to-do list with the DOHMH.

In response to this, a big group of parents and community have banded together to raise a large chunk of the funds needed to satisfy the landlord but we are still in need of nearly $3,000 to be able to start the reopening process. There is urgency to raise this money. We need it in the bank by Tuesday, June 20.

We have launched this last-minute silent auction with the loving support and donations from our awesome and talented Bula community and invite you to bid and help us raise the money to save our special space for our kids. We're aiming for $10,000, to cover the final $3,000 that's needed ASAP, along with other expenses required to reopen.

Gabriela, the founder, has made Bula a magical space for our young ones with classes and a curriculum that is truly unique and special.
