The Sea Otter Classic Foundation views sports and recreational activities as natural opportunities to encourage our community to adopt healthy and active ways of living. We believe this creates stronger, more connected communities. Our mission is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle for children and support recovering veterans.

Although we may not be the first to believe that sports and recreation can be a catalyst for broader social good and community building, we are energized to keep the forward momentum!

Some of the ways we seek to involve others are through supporting and developing recreational events, organized sports, and community programs. As an organization, we are focused on bringing positive impact through:

Volunteerism : Encouraging people to donate their time and skills for a cause.

Charitable Giving: Providing financial support or resources where it’s needed.

Community Engagement: Motivating people to become involved and connected with each other.

The Sea Otter Classic Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 2012 by the Sea Otter Classic, the largest cycling festival, consumer bike expo, race schedule and "celebration of cycling" in North America. Our largest fundraiser each year is supporting the Sea Otter Classic event in April which allowed us in 2025 to donate nearly $90,000 to local nonprofits, civic groups, booster clubs, military groups, and more.
