For 60 years, Seniors First has been there — in the homes, the hearts, and the daily lives of older adults across Central Florida. They've been the lifeline for seniors who need a hot meal, a helping hand, or simply someone to call. This October, we're celebrating that legacy in the most delicious way we know how.

Welcome to Senior Chef Showdown 2026 Presented by Village on the Green.

On Wednesday, October 7th, some of Central Florida's finest senior living communities will go head-to-head in a culinary competition unlike any other. Their secret weapon? Honey — the golden thread weaving every dish together. Guests will taste, vote, and celebrate alongside the talented chefs who pour their passion into every plate.

But this night is about more than great food.

It's about the seniors behind the stove — their stories, their resilience, and their joy. It's about the communities rallying around them. And it's about making sure Seniors First can continue to serve the tens of thousands of older adults who depend on them, year after year.

Our goal: $60,000 — one thousand dollars for every year Seniors First has made a difference.

About Seniors First

Driven by the mission of enhancing the quality of life of seniors, Seniors First, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to providing services and resources for seniors that maintain their independence and dignity. Since 1966 the nonprofit has served Central Florida seniors through programs that promote nutrition, community engagement and independence. These programs include Meals on Wheels, Neighborhood Lunch with Transportation, Community Food Pantry, In-Home Care, Guardianship and Stepping Stone Medical Equipment Bank. Seniors First connects seniors across Orange, Seminole, Polk, Osceola and Brevard Counties with various programs that benefit their mental, emotional and physical wellbeing to offset social isolation and hunger.
