Kat Locke-Jones' Story

This marks the 7th annual SL24 Basketball Classic that keeps the lights on at Sean's House. 136 West Main is completely free, and we want it to stay that way. While the house is where my brother lived in college and the name on the jersey says “Locke”, this isn’t just Sean’s story anymore. ✨ It’s the story of friends and family who need a place to process their grief. It is a story of teachers who wear their armor and fight for not just safe spaces, but brave spaces for all students. It’s the story of parents—the ones with toddlers who teach them what to do with big feelings and those of teenagers who aren’t sure how to navigate those conversations with their kids anymore. It’s the story of kids who just didn’t know where to go when their voices started to quiver. ✨ At one point, it was Sean’s story, but now it’s the story of us—the narrative where we want you to stay because the world needs, hopes, and cares about your light. ✨ And if I’m being vulnerable, it’s the story of a sister who just didn’t want to stop having her little brother’s back—no matter his age or where he is in the universe. ✨ I hope you’ll help me provide support to student.
