50 years ago, in 1974, The first Little League Softball World Series was held at Stalling Stadium, in Greenville, NC. 20 years later, in 1994, Corvallis Little League was chartered. Since then CLL has been helping our area's youth learn valuable life lessons while experiencing the joy and traditions playing ball in Little League has to offer. As an all volunteer nonprofit, our organization operates on sponsorships, registration fees, and donations.

Our softball program is healthy and growing. In 2023, 85 girls competed at the Minor, Major, and Junior level, traveling throughout the Willamette Valley playing games. For the 2nd year in a row, we fielded 4 "All Star" Little League Tournament Teams. Our 9-10-11, Major, and Junior teams won their respective divisions and went on to compete at the State Tournaments. We launched a Fall sofball program in 2023 and fielded 3 teams at the Minor and Major levels.

For 2024, we are expanding to offer softball at the Tee Ball level and working to create a Senior level All Star team. In addition, we have combined forces with the Mid Valley Little League to offer softball to all levels to players who reside in that region, which includes Albany and many surrounding towns.

This year, on our 30th annivesary, we are launching our first ever Opening Week Auction to raise the funds needed to continue to offer our softball players the best learning experience ever. These funds will help us offset the costs of rising insurance, purchase much needed new equipment, continue to make field improvements, and offer scholarships to familes in need.

2024 major expenses include laser leveling 2 fields, purchasing many tons of top dressing, new breakaway bases, and, if this fundraiser is wildly sucessful, the purchase of an infield groomer. It will help us to secure indoor areas for practice and trainings and put our softball program on a strong financial path to continued growth.
