A message from Astoria Park Conservancy

On behalf of the board and staff of Astoria Park Conservancy, many thanks for your generous support of Astoria Park Conservancy to uplift our community’s public hot springs and newest riverside park. Your gift has propelled our work in creating a welcoming and inspiring space for our local residents and visitors to connect and find refuge.

Astoria Park Conservancy exists because the community saw a need for an inclusive, inspiring, and welcoming community park, at a location that has been central to the cultural fabric of the valley since it was first inhabited by tribal members. It truly is a special place, not only because of the geothermal mineral hot springs but also due to the iconic flora and fauna that call the park home. Most importantly, Astoria Park Conservancy is meeting a critical need to create a place where people connect with one another, allowing residents to strengthen their social capital and enhancing mental and physical health.

We are proud to leverage our donor gifts through our ability to generate revenue through visitor experiences at Astoria. Nearly 70% of our operating budget is funded through earned revenue each year, ensuring that for every $1 given, $4 of impact is generated. AND, through Astoria’s Access Fund, we are simultaneously able to ensure broad access to Astoria for those who struggle with our already-low cost of admissions.

As we look to a bright future with the completion of Astoria Park, a 100-acre oasis surrounding the hot springs, we are seeking funders to our Campaign for Community Connection. If you’re interested in learning more, please be in touch. In the meantime, we’ll see you at Astoria soon!
