SPEAK is an annual community storytelling event hosted by Advocates of Routt County in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Each year, poets, storytellers, musicians, and performers take the stage to share original work that reflects on truth, resilience, and the power of being heard.

The 2026 theme, Believe, centers the importance of listening to and trusting lived experiences. Through spoken word, music, and storytelling, performers explore what it means to be believed, to speak even when belief is uncertain, and to imagine a world shaped by trust, accountability, and care.

SPEAK creates space for honest expression and meaningful connection. Stories shared on stage may reflect experiences of survival, healing, community, and change. The evening invites our community to listen deeply, reflect together, and honor the courage it takes to speak.
