9th Annual Putting Fore the Panthers: Putts and Prost

Nine years ago, Putting Fore the Panthers began with a simple idea and an incredible group of people who shared one goal: to support our school.

What started as a day of golf and giving has grown into one of the traditions we look forward to most each fall at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School.

And this year, the timing feels especially New Braunfels.

We’ll tee it up on the Friday before our community begins ten days of Wurstfest making Putting Fore the Panthers the perfect way to kick off one of our favorite times of year in NBTX.

Before the music starts, the lederhosen comes out, and our little town welcomes thousands of visitors, we’ll gather at beautiful Landa Park Golf Course for a day centered around community, fellowship, a little friendly competition, and a whole lot of Panther pride.

This year’s tournament will include:

A 4-man scramble at beautiful Landa Park Golf Course
Breakfast tacos and check-in at 7:15 AM, followed by an 8:30 AM shotgun start
Hole-in-one contests, team prizes, raffles, games, and plenty of surprises throughout the course
Exciting sponsorship opportunities for businesses, families, alumni, and friends who want to invest in our students and our school
NEW this year: our Best Dressed Foursome Contest! Since we’re kicking off Wurstfest weekend a little early, we’re inviting teams to come dressed for the occasion. Break out the lederhosen and dirndls, coordinate your best German-inspired golf attire, show off your Panther spirit, or get completely creative. All four members of the team must participate to be eligible, and the winning foursome will take home a special prize and a WHOLE full year of bragging rights.

But after nine years, we know the best part of Putting Fore the Panthers has never really been the golf.

It’s the people.

It’s seeing parents, grandparents, alumni, parishioners, local businesses, friends, and neighbors come together year after year because they believe in what happens within the walls of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School.

Every team that registers. Every sponsor who puts their name on a sign. Every volunteer who shows up early. Every laugh shared on the course.

It all adds up to something much bigger than a scorecard.

It helps us continue building a school where our students can learn, grow, play, pray, and become exactly who God is calling them to be.

Proceeds from this year’s tournament will once again directly support our school and its continued growth, allowing us to be good stewards of the gifts entrusted to us while continuing to invest in the students we serve.

So before New Braunfels says “Prost!”, we hope you’ll join us in saying “Go Panthers!”
