This event will be a free will donation for spaghetti, salad, bread sticks and dessert. The silent auction items will be on display at the event, but bidding will take place on this site. Online bidding for silent auction items will begin on MONDAY, MAY 20TH at NOON and will end on WEDNESDAY, MAY 22ND AT 7:00 P.M. (This will allow spaghetti dinner attendees to take home item(s) at the end of the event). This is to support the Steeve Family whose 5-year-old daughter, Ava, was recently diagnosed with very severe aplastic anemia. She is having to have frequent blood and platelet transfusions until she can get a bone marrow transplant (BMT). Ava will have to go out of state for the BMT and it will require her to undergo chemotherapy and radiation and she’ll have a lengthy multiple weeks/months long hospital stay. This is going to be a scary and lengthy, as well as costly.

5/7/24 Update from Allison, Amberly's sister: As the saying goes, “When it Rains, It Pours.” Well, last night the unthinkable happened, a tornado hit the Steeve farm. As if my sister’s poor family hasn’t gone through enough hardship this year. They are thankful that all 8 of them are safe but there is significant damage to their property and sadly their 12 year old found that a few of their pet goats didn’t survive the tornado. This is so much more added to their plate right now since they’re due to be leaving in 2 weeks for Ava’s bone marrow transplant and won’t be home until late September. Ava was hospitalized again on Friday (5/3) with a fever and hemoglobin of 5. She was released Sunday morning and Amberly and Derek immediately left and made the 7 hour drive to Minnesota for an appointment Monday morning with Ava’s team. The 6 kids stayed at home with their amazing neighbor. Amberly and Derek arrived home last night just minutes before the tornado touched down, Derek had just dropped their neighbor off and was returning home when it hit and he was forced to leave his car and helplessly lay in a ditch to avoid being hit by debris. My sister was left alone gathering the 4 sleeping little ones with her older two helping as they ran to the basement. The whole time she said it sounded like a freight train running through their home and like bricks were hitting the house. As they ran, she was terrified that they wouldn’t make it to the basement in time. They’re safe, but shook up, and exhausted because they were forced to evacuate in the middle of the night. Please just keep this family in your prayers and please share this event so that they can get the help they desperately need.
