WAITLIST ANNOUNCEMENT

Thank you for your interest in joining us at Storybook Breakfast! Tickets sold out MUCH faster than we were expecting. We are working with the venue to determine if we can add additional seating. If you'd like to join the waitlist for tickets, you can do so at this link.

By joining the waitlist, you will be notified if additional tickets open from cancellations or if the venue is able to add more seating. Notifications will be sent in the order in which they were received on the waitlist. Additional tickets, if available, will be first-come, first-served.

What to Expect

At Storybook Breakfast, families enjoy character meet-and-greets, a light breakfast, and literacy-rich activities inspired by favorites from Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. We also celebrate graduates from our local Imagination Library and invite the community to help ensure every child across the Virginia Peninsulas has the opportunity to enroll and receive free, high-quality, age-appropriate books delivered each month.

Last year, Storybook Breakfast raised over $30,000, making it possible for 1,900 children to receive free monthly books for a full year.

Breakfast is served buffet-style with chocolate croissants, ham and egg croissants, fresh fruit, freshly brewed regular and decaf coffee, hot tea, iced water, and lemonade.

NEW FOR 2026: Bid on a copy of Coat of Many Colors signed by the Book Lady herself! Take part in our silent auction and help put books in kids’ hands through The DeGood Foundation’s local work with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Bidding opens digitally on Friday, March 14. The auction will close live at Storybook Breakfast on March 21 at 11:15 AM, with the highest bidder taking it home.
